Mature Moving Me is a eight-week course in modern dance technique and creative dance-making for older adults. Designed for a range of physical abilities and dance experience, this class is physical, social, and creative! In a supportive, joyful environment, participants will improve their strength, balance, range of motion, and body awareness, and achieve a sense of mastery by repeating and building upon choreographed movement phrases over the course of six weeks. The class emphasizes the development of a strong technical foundation, with a seated warm-up that progresses to standing, gentle stretching, movement that travels across the floor, and choreographed standing phrases.
