As most couples will confess: Marriage changes everything. When Looking debuted two years ago on HBOlegal unions between people of the same sex were not the law of the land in the United States. And we have TV shows to partially thank for it.
In fact, without this one routine assignment, the Sex and the City we know would never have come to pass. Star was branching out on his own without Spelling, and the critics would be watching to see if Star was the real deal. As the characters of Girls struggled in their varying relationships during the March 13 episode "Old Loves," Elijah was actually succeeding in finding love. Watching Elijah's relationship with Dill Harcourt on Girls gives me some hope that the characters of the HBO show can become functional human beings at some point. And, in "Old Loves," Andrew Rannells was given the chance to show Elijah's ego, vulnerability, charm, and caring side on his date with Dill, culminating in a realistic gay sex scenehowever awkward, that makes me believe Elijah could really be in a healthy relationship.

Yesthe show's about the daily life of three gay friends living at the epicenter of gay culture in the U. But t he new HBO series, which premieres tonight atisn't a preachy teaching tool, nor is it a fireworks display of gay culture.
About two months ago. That was a really hard day on set for me because Scott [Winters, the actor who plays Cyril] is my real brother. To be there that day I felt like I was on a different planet -- it was really weird. You look back at and he had a lead character who was Muslim.
